The Department of Athletics of West Virginia Wesleyan College is currently accepting applications for Head Men’s Soccer Coach.  This is a full-time, 10-month appointment.  Candidates should demonstrate soccer coaching success; excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills; possess a strong commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes; and the ability to act as a mentor to all student-athletes of WVWC.

The Head Men’s Soccer Coach is responsible for the direction and operation of all phases of the men’s soccer program in accordance with WVWC, the Mountain East Conference, and NCAA DII regulations.  Position duties include, but are not limited to:  recruiting; scheduling; individual instruction/player improvement; organizing and directing individual/small group practice activities involving instructing/teaching student-athletes in the rules, regulations and techniques of the sport; planning; coordinating community involvement;  budget administration; fund-raising; monitoring academic performance; modeling professional behavior and maintaining appropriate conduct towards players, officials, spectators and colleagues; completing/submitting administrative and compliance documents and other duties assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Preferred qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree, 2-5 years of successful soccer coaching experience and a valid driver’s license.
